Whenever I'm at a foreign destination, eating local food is crucial. It's one of the many ways that you can learn about the culture, and personally great food is what will get me to come back to a place. Since Mandy, Sin and I are all foodies, searching for good food in Bali was very high on our list. By the end of our trip, we've learnt that not all "highly-recommended" places are satisfying. If touristy restaurants "with a view" aren't as important as having a deliciously authentic meal to you, avoid them as you're mostly just paying for the view. TRAP 😠
OVER-RATED 😐
GEM 😊
What I have learnt after this Bali trip is to have lower expectations of these touristy restaurants, you'll never know what you're gonna get until you get there. Also eat where the locals eat, they know best. If your drivers wouldn't go to a place to eat, it's probably because it's not worth it or they can't afford it, so ask if they could take you to an alternative place, you'll be surprised! GOOD:
